Hi all just joined and thought I'd say hello. I write mostly in the scifi genre, hope some of you get round to viewing my work.
A question...how does one get text in italic when the post a story? Is there some kind of format used?

Hi, and welcome to the site. Looking forward to reading your work. Pepsoid will probably advise on the italics - when he's had his tea. ;)

Hi Sciwriter and welcome to the forums! Please do not feel put off by the occasional bickering amongst other members. We all love one another, really, and have some great (and long-winded) debates!

Hi all,
italics can be put in stories with the 'em' tag - if you don't know how to use html tags you'll either have to learn or live without italics.
hox | December 13, 2006 - 09:52
Hello newpersons, and welcome. Don't worry about italics, just be sure to get your speling rite.
Sciwriter | December 13, 2006 - 10:44
Thanks for the welcome, people.
Well, guess I'll just have to live without italics as I don't know html. It's just that I usuall express thoughts in my writing by using itaics that all.

Okay, I've now managed to edit my story, and use the italic's. So now I can post more of my work.

Hurrah - and tell us your three favourite pop songs of all time.
Sciwriter | December 13, 2006 - 13:03
Well I have to give that some extra thought as I like most music.

Erm... except that wasn't italics... :-/
Try the same but with "cite" instead of what you used... ;-)
