Johnny-come-lately

Guess what? I finally got a publishing deal! It only took me like MY ENTIRE LIFE. So, anyway, yay me! And thanks abctales for all your support and general quirky awesomeness.

Ahh, but I bet it feels good anyway. I agree: yay you. Keep us posted, I'm sure others will want to hold your book in their hands, I certainly do.

Congratulations.

Congratulations!

It must be a good feeling, like getting into a nightclub when you're underage; everyone you like is already in there, but there's always a fair chance that you'll get turned away.

What with the literary bumfluff 'tasche and your school shoes still on.

Good work Tim.

Cheers,

Mark

HURRAY!!!

No-one I've ever read a word by was so blatantly and obviously brilliant as you.

Is it the fantasy one with the animals and wot-not or something else?

Thank you, you lovelies. Looks like a Spring 2009 release. It's non-fiction - a mix of memoir and reportage, about ambition, my own delusions of grandeur, and failure; a parable, of sorts, about how I took William Blake at his word when he said the road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom - when, in my experience, it leads only to the kebab van of mediocrity. Still pondering a good title. It all feels very weird - I never thought my first book would be my memoirs!

Ewan | April 7, 2008 - 07:24

'Still pondering a good title.'

What's wrong with:

'My Entire Life'

or

'The Kebab Van of Mediocrity'

or even both with a colon between them :-)

I'm sure you'll come up with something entirely fitting.

Congratulations again, Ewan

What a great surprise, although not all that surprised, and warm congratulations. I'm sure this will be nothing but good, especially as described above, I'm already smiling, and it's Monday morning.

I suggest 'Some things I did'

Anyway, congratulations.
