Anybody Out There?

I fully understand the neccessity for anonymity on here, but wouldn't it be nice if we could organise local groups of talers to meet up socially? I'm sure there must be an easy way to do this amongst consenting adults. Anyway, I live in a small village in between Oxford and Aylesbury. If anybody would like to meet up let me know and if we can get a few together I'll try and get something organised.

Where do you live? That's my neck of the woods. I don't want to get your hopes up, I live in The Ariege in France now, but I went to school in Stone and Aylesbury, lived in Cuddington for number of years, you never know we might know each other in real life.

These do occur from time to time - and we are very pleased if anyone cares to organise one! We will do all we can to help facilitate them. It's more than high time we had one in London and I aim to find time to fix one up in the next week or so! There will definitely be one in Brighton on the weekend of July 5/6 as part of the Clifton Montpelier and Powis Festival featuring Tara Hanks reading from her novel, the Mmm Girl. More details of that shortly.

Just email me and I will do all I can to help you fix one up in your area.

Hi Shy Assassin (gulp), I guess I live (currently at least - I'm fairly frequently on the move) about three quarters of an hour's drive from where you say you are and I'd be interested to meet up for say a drink and a chat in a pub somewhere (not in Aylesbury, though, please!). I'm actually not that bothered about anonymity on personal safety grounds but I just (currently at least) enjoy it a touch on personal exploration/re-invention grounds. Anyway, I'm prepared to assume that you're more assassin by name than nature and give it an exploratory try. Strange that nobody else in your neck of the woods/fields has already responded to your suggestion - maybe you've bumped them off already!?
