Yey! Thanks guys, can't wait to read it! Dead chuffed! Also agree with the winners - thought they were both awesome entries!
p.s. am I commended for my prose or my poetry or both?!
mori saltson | July 8, 2008 - 13:12
Thanks very much. This is something new I have been working on - writing in the voice of a younger person - something I have never really done before so the feedback, critical or otherwise, is really appreciated.
tcook | July 8, 2008 - 13:21
Jennifer - perhaps surprisingly, for the prose. I just didn't get on with your poetry entry - but I thought the prose was spot on. It was such a close thing and so difficult to choose but I finally plumped for mori's tale.

Why thank you, Tony. I am going to make an effort to concentrate on prose this summer, since it's something I've been meaning to do for years but haven't had the time!
drew_gummerson | July 8, 2008 - 17:28
I've just read both of the winners and thought they were both great. Congratulations!

Congrats to the winners - both excellent pieces!
Also congrats to the HR's and HC's.
Dynamaso | July 9, 2008 - 07:09
Congratulations to the winners - both deserved, as far as I am concerned. And congratulations also to the highly commended.
Thanks as well to Tony for the hard work of having to judge the entries. It was a difficult task well done.

Yes. This was a very good competition. I loved the winning poem, a really rewarding 'eye' and 'build' as they say.
Write on sweethearts!
