What's everyone else who's stranded on this gorgeous island (by high air fares and a crippled pound) doing this weekend?
We had a family gathering yesterday. Today I am car-booting, second-hand-book-shopping and doing some pretty-girlie stencils on my bedroom wall.
Tomorrow, there has to be a good car boot sale around! You?

I'm at work today and tomorrow. :( 10 hour shift today!
I don't think I've had a bank holiday off for a couple of years....

I went to a rollergirl fundraising event in Bedford last night. The rest of the weekend I intend to spend on the sofa.

I'm happy! There's a jumble sale on at the Buddhist centre in Kennington. But I will not be able to have a cuppa without thinking of that Fish poem.

I've been experimenting to find the perfect amount of time to leave toast to cool so as to get maximun pleasure from the thick butter I put on it. And whether wholemeal is beter than white. Off to Crete tomorrow. Anybody been to Crete?

i spent bank hol monday at the hastingleigh carnival and fayre in kent - haven't had so much fun in ages - four or five floats went past at high speed due to the drizzle ... shivering carnival queen in a horse drawn cart ...
then it cleared up for the fayre which had tombola (won some earrings!) coconut shy, egg and spoon and sack races, live music, punch and judy, hog roast, welly wanging, cake stall, stone carving demo ...
brilliant
i want to move there ...

I had your illness for most of it - and then we went to see my old Mum on the Monday. Really groovy bank holiday. Ho Hum. Now considering a late holiday in Corsica to make up for it.
