Although I came nowhere in the competition overall, I did well enough in some individual rounds to have 3 of my poems included.

The Rhino and Hippo-pota-mouse decided they would share a house.
The Hippo thought it would be good if their house was made of mud
The Rhino on the other hand made it clear he favoured sand
He didn't want a water hole or anything like a washing bowl
The Hippo was upset of course - after all he's a river horse.
But Rhino wasn't backing down "No water" he roared, with a frown.
"I don't want a house so I can drink, I want somewhere that I can think."
In the end it was agreed and seperate houses were decreed
For the Hippo one for water sports and one for
the Rhino and his thoughts.
