RE: Lying like angels

In what sense is it familiar?

Larkin Williamson | February 2, 2010 - 15:49

It is familiar to me because of my relationship with my wife. I felt a little sadness as I read how Francis was out of sync in time with his wife. Part of the story was almost a feeling of betrayal, yet the comedy of being re-cycled through life at the end resembled many reflections of my own experiences with people.
The angel talking with Francis was similar to me as talking with a public servant...usually vague with an,"I'm just doing my job" attitude. It was a good read.

Thankyou Larkin - I just wondered how those who thought themselves to be angels would take a tongue in cheek attitude to 'their' kind!

I guess there are alway bad apples in a basket.
These guys seem to be a bit on the lazy and disespectful kind

You have time to write?

This is fantastic (hope you know I don't arse lick and only say I like something if it's true)

Some of the ideas in this are brilliant. I tied myself in knots for years wondering what happens next, I suppose we all do, but because of my mum and everything. I found some of these ideas quite comforting... until you had to go and blow them all out of the water. I'll be ready for the git when I wake up and he's sitting beside me.

I can honestly say this is the best thing I've read this year. Mind that's not much of a compliment in itself because my mate keeps lending me these awful child abused true story things ... done to death (says she)

Fantastic.

Thankyou sooz - this has been on here for a long time and I only resurrected it (sic) because of the angels' thing. I am glad you liked it though.
