Don't know why the critics are saying it's a five star performance in a three star film. I thought it was superb. Meryl Streep was unbeliveable. She was Saint Margeret, the woman who saved our country.

I was lost in thought about the Iron Lady this morning when I chanced to glance at the TV.
I thought ‘Oh, Dame Edna is looking well… looks a bit younger without the purple rinse.’
No sign of ‘gladdies’ so I turned up the volume and I suddenly realised it was Sarah Palin… similar voice different accent.
Not half as amusing as Dame Edna but at least as eccentric.
I examined the face for traces of the attractiveness she was said to possess and perhaps there was a trace in her smile - but the eyes were empty.
No accounting for taste I thought…
Still, she looked like she’d be fairly handy with an iron too…
Of course I mean for flattening little creatures too small to shoot
and not for pressing the Designer dresses.
