The Empire and Commomwealth Museum Bristol

I've been trying to get hold of these people but no joy. Perhaps the Council knows what's happened to them.

Anyone here know what's happening with this?

I see no mention of the above on this page for example

and this page

Yeh, I really want to know what's happening with this.

Archie may know, Blessing. He's down that way.

I see he's on line currently - maybe he'll drop by. I've contacted the Council and forwarded links to a host of other people. I really think this is outrageous - and I'm just getting started. English Heritage and the all the rest will be hearing from me shortly.

Looks like another choice example of how stupendously insensitive and detached from reality the authorities are. I thought the little promo for the hiring of Brunel's place was a dainty touch too.
Is this the end of the empire? Perhaps they've finally cut a deal with those wonderfully fun German people.

Well I guess blighters that "detached" certainly is one of the nicer active words to describe this scenario. Maybe they thought it could all be erased from memory if it remained "detached" for long enough with a touch of whitewash and cleansing like they did originally as if none of it happened. Maybe they didn't read about Lady Macbeth's hand washing scene. I mean, there must be so much blood in the course of this history to create seas of blood several times over - including the destruction of unborn children in the pregnant women captured.

Apt is this I think:

I've received a two page detailed response to my complaint to Bristol Council. However, as it does not sufficiently cover what I experienced, I will of course be responding.

I have now received communication from the Tourist Information Centre on the problems I encountered on their website which they apparently will be addressing, given Black History Month starts end of Sept mind. They have now provided a link to the M-Shed and Museum.

For anyone who lives in and around the Bristol area - I attach a link to Bristol Council's Black History Month events.
