Midsummer Magic

from the ABC set Unordered Tales

There at the back of my
garden,lies a secret place I
know,'tis
there for everyone to
seethough
sometimes covered with
snow. See, through the soft and springy
mossflows a
daring little stream,of ice-cold water crystal
clearwith
fish that sparkle and
gleam. These fish they swim like little
birdshigh up
in the bright green
trees.their
emerald colours blind the
eyetheir
songs are for the queen. The queen she wears a fairy
crownand is
dressed in silken robes, she eats from golden platters
fairand
drinks tea from
chinaware. And when upon a summer
dayby this
brook I take my ease,I want my dear for nothing
elseso easy
am I to please.
