I got this email from my wife this morning....
Hello, my dear - I've written to say "hi"
It's been ever so long since we said "good-bye"
I'm sitting here, thinking of you,
(OK, I'm just not wanting to work, it's true)
Yet I feel so compelled, to say that I care,
And how much I love the life that we share.
So tonight, my love, I want to go out on a trek,
since I'm feeling so rich with that third paycheck.
Later, I can't wait to give you a big kiss and a hug,
For you are my love, my only, my dearest true lug.
And this is what I wrote back to her a few minutes later...
Poetry from you is like finding gold
A treasure I'll have until we grow old
I have ideas already for what to go spend
All that cash on tonight, will this day ever end?
A trip to Chi Chi's for food Mexican
Eat til we bust, rest and then
Find some cool stores and spend some hard dough
We'll get this economy up and out of it's low
I'm sure you can think of good stuff to do
Just know that my love for you is true
And we'll have such fun on this Friday night
Even if spending wildly isn't quite right.
