Delta Destiny Part 1 - Crisis Memes

Delta Destiny is a science fiction novel set in the year 2256 that chronicles the disappearance of the star-liner Delta Destiny, and the fate of the two hundred thousand passengers and crew on board. It is seen from the point of view of the McLaren’s, a family emigrating from Earth to live a low-tech life on a newly terraformed agricultural planet.

Following an explosion in the midst of a star-jump the Delta Destiny is transported to a remote and inaccessible region of the galaxy. Part One – Crisis Memes - tells of the sudden descent into chaos and anarchy, and the part the McLaren’s play in establishing a precarious stability while the ships crew look for a way to save as many people as possible.

They discover a distant hospitable planet, but are more than five years distant from it without the use of the damaged star-drive...........
