ALBERTA POEMS then and now

Alberta, has a special place in my heart. Perhaps it is because my daughter, her husband and our two grandsons live there, on a 120 acre ranch. "Acreage" is what they call it. Wide open skies, moose crossing their pasture, llamas stretching necks to munch, and the grunting of Kenny, their Dexter bull, resonates through my memory.

I have written many words for pleasure and also for profit, little has come my way. But, hey. The real joy is in sharing rather than have words culminate around my writing room, waiting their turn for a submission, many waiting up to six months or longer for a reply.

My wife has been such a treat to me, especially as I began my recovery from a stroke in 1999. I used to brag about my outdoor prowess. No longer. I am now content to pray and walk slowly beside my wife rather than be the star racing my canoe across still waters. Life is precious.

And my helpful soul mate for the past 36 years helped me put together these three novels below. If you wish to check them out, please do so. God bless all our readers. Richard L. Provencher
