This land is beautiful, Nova Scotia. It has inspired my writing. Who can not fall in love with the scenery, people, topography and the scent of freshness that drew so many to come from foreign lands. And these poems try to reflect what my heart and eyes absorbed.
My wife's great, great, great, great grandfather John Trenholm(e)Jr. apparently arrived with his father and two brothers in 1772 from Yorkshire, Welby Village, England. And many family members still reside in the Cape Chignecto area of New Brunswick. In fact my wife and I wrote a young person's novel, "The Lad from Pointe de Bute" which we hope to have published one day. The story is about one day in the life of John Jr. two years after he has arrived in his new country.
Right now, my wife and I have co-authored three novels, one of which, FOOTPRINTS, is available for sale now, and two others will soon be available from www.synergebooks.com. More details at the end of this chapbook. Please enjoy reading these poems and God Bless, from Richard and Esther Provencher
