I Wish For You This Christmas

Hi again, alfie. Just read through your pieces (this one is my favourite, by the way) and it's obvious you have a great love of poetry and use it as a way to express yourself - which is great. There are some very talented writers on here who will give you loads of support and ideas, you've definitely come to the right place :)

What I suggest is that you get reading as much of other people's work as your free time allows and try and leave comments on their work if you can - a simple 'I liked this' if you enjoyed what you read will not only boost the writer in question's confidence to keep writing, but will also draw them back to your own pieces, and that way you'll get both the reads you want and some invaluable feedback. They'll see your name and think 'oh, who's this alfie1997 fella?' and check you out, and hopefully return the kindness. Unless your name appears in the 'Who's online' section on the right of the page 24/7 or you're 'cherried' for everything, it's easy to get lost amongst all the writers on here and not have your work read as much as you'd like. So get browsing, get reading and commenting and most importantly keep writing and posting here on ABC - we're a strange but loveable bunch and if you put in the time and effort to comment on others' work, you'll love it here :)
