It's the little things

A word
or a sentence
a phrase
or a saying,
a sideways look,
a glance,
a soft touch.

It's the little things that get me,
so that i can't breath
even with all the love i receive.

A word can make me misjudge
and a sentence, make me think twice,
a phrase can make my throat dry
and a saying, might make me cry,
a sideways look, my sense it took
and that glance sent me into a trance.

A soft touch, as your fingertips
reach my fingertips,
just before they part,
that, well that would break my heart.
