A lot can happen in a heart beat

A lot of things can happen
in a heart beat,
gallons of blood can gush
through veins around the body
in a full, never ending loop.
A lot can happen in a blink,
you lose sight of whats infront
for a second, and might hit something
you didn't see,
you lose sight of the world
and might find something unexpected
when you see it again.
A lot can happen in a breath,
you could whisper something inspiring,
you could have an epiphany,
or you could take your last breath.
A lot can happen in a second,
you can go from everything
to nothing in almost the same instant,
trust me I know i've had it happen before,
and it'll happen again
everytime you walk out the door
