you from the beast within;
compressing a paper soul;
torn apart-
like tissue paper.
Trying…
to recompose its bones.
Like a split mirror;
fallen to the ground,
casting a distorted reflection…
II
An unatoned sin;
your body rises…
a daily ghost.
Harbouring secrets
whispering…
through the hollow
crevasses of my bones.
Like a demon
glancing…
gaps in time;
crawling through black space.
III
Your smile
opens like a wound;
splitting…
the rim of your mouth;
crumbling…
An origami flower;
slowly dissolving…
in stagnant water,
dispersing tissue.
IV
Your spine;
a soul scroll
unwinding….
My prayers-
the tissue;
upholding bone.
Within your flesh,
delusions intact.
Your spine;
a chain…
binding me.
