You never knew how I felt.
Two ghosts sieved
through the air,
your translucent hand
grasped my body-felt nothing.
The noose around your neck;
tied by your own hands
hung your future on a dream,
destined to fade.
Your shadowed mouth
mimed the final words;
‘I’m sorry.’
My body flashed like Rome,
mighty and eternal,
my foundations gradually
collapsed into themselves.
When your silhouette reappeared,
worn torn- your broken mouth
hurled blood stained words at me.
Spat lies to cover the ass of more lies.
Lining up like a legion of inked demons,
shamed and waiting for the darkness
to conceal them.
But time couldn’t heal
the fracture lines of our love.
Whenever the earth shakes
it reminds me of your hand
grasping mine, not ready to let go.

Another one I enjoyed Beeme.
I liked this line
"...the fracture lines of our love..."
Ahh, how the heart breaks.
ps. Have you started your book yet ?

I am rather fond of that beautiful/sad ending - a lot as always that is very good here Beeme. :-)

Thank you ScoZen, well I'm lucky to have an artist in the family and he has offered to illustrate some of my poems, so a book looks more realistic now. So hopefully I can get the printing done for a good price too and we'll see. :) Thanks for the interest :)
