BLACKBERRY 07/09/1991 to 04/11/2010
No more will I hear
Your most contented purr
That made you dribble on your fur
No more will I be greeted at the door
By your hello meow
No more will you pirouette around my feet
And perform your excited meal time dance
No more will you curl up on my lap
While I watch TV
No more will you curl up on the bed
When I go to sleep
Never again will I wake up
To hear your morning purr
For you have no more mornings
While you sleep your eternal sleep
You were more than a cat
You were a welcoming friend
A quiet companion
You were a constant
And I will miss you Blackberry

Hi there, Paul;-)
Such a shame about Blackberry. My cat Chess, actually went to the great cattery in the sky, coincidentally on the same day last year as Blackberry, 4th November 2010. But I don't know when she was born because we took her in as a stray, funnily enough on the 4th November, eight years before. So indeed, the animals did go in 'two by two'.

Thanks Tina,
We only new when she was born because she was a wedding present from my brother in law and she was born exactly 2 weeks before we got married.
She was a lovely cat and we were very lucky to have her for 19 years.
Thanks again Paul

I am so sorry, Paul. And yes, you were lucky and so was she;-) You have your memories and they help...at least a bit.

Paul I am so sorry about your cat. 19 years is a
wonderful long life, she must have been very happy
to have lived that long.
I love cats and have lost many, so I do know how
you feel, but as Tina said you have your memories
which is the most important thing. I do hope you
can find comfort in her memory.
Take care of yourself.
Jenny.
