IN HER LITTLE YELLOW BEETLE

from the ABC set Trains, Planes And Automobiles

I always used to see her
And wanted to take a trip
In her little yellow beetle
As she cruised the strip

But she never noticed me
Though I hoped one day
In her little yellow beetle
She would drive me away

Then one day out of the blue
She pulled up along side
And said “hello hansome”
And took me off for a ride

Well that was quite a night
That I will never forget
In her little yellow beetle
I had the best ride yet

Yeah, I had a German lady friend who drove me around in her yellow beetle, particularly to ice cream parlours perched in the middle of woods for some reason!? - many years ago when there was a West Germany and an east - yup, you're right, nothing to beat it!

I was in West Berlin before the wall came down and I found that when you were off walking in the woods you more often than not came upon a clearing full of nude sunbathers.
That really put you off your ice cream.

I went through Berlin into East Berlin and thence on to Poland in December 75 - does that rank as 'trumps'?

Ok you win I only made it to East Berlin for a day trip.

I fear you concede too easily as there is the matter of conquest ans I sense yours was the greater than mine. So, I propose game, set and match to you and thay we pull stumps on that agreement and dance a jig to confirm - fair?

You are indeed gracious and I will slip on my dancing shoes
