Plastic surgeons think themselves Gods
As they try to turn back the clock
I think plastic surgery is nonsense
Trying to hold back the ravages of time
By nipping and tucking
And implanting and enhancing
It is an exercise in futility
People who have face lifts
Don’t look younger
Just permanently surprised
The medical profession
By trying to preserve aging flesh
Is approaching the problem
From the wrong direction
Would it not be better?
To transplant the brain
Of a mature man or woman
Into the body of a vacuous teenager
Then you could have fabulous sex
Followed by great conversation

Ha, ha, ha, this is so funny, I just love your sense
of humour. How about operations in changing body parts. I would like the head of Kate Bush, as she was
in the 70s. The body and legs of Jennifer Aniston, who
I think is amazing, but then again I wouldn,t mind the
whole of Jennifer Anistons face and body.
But at the end of the day, I wouldn't want to be
anybody else except me.
Very good poem.

Thanks Jenny I'm glad you enjoyed it.
do you remember those books we used to get when we were kids, I think I may be a few years older than you but you may still remember them.
They were full of pictures of different charcters
and they were dived into three or four sections so you could make up composite pictures
ie the head of a policeman the torso of a young woman in a bikini and the legs of a footballer.
Perhaps that would be a good way of selecting which bits from who.
making sure that the whole would be more than the sum of its parts.

Hi Biggus,
Yes I do remember those books, they were so funny.
That would be very amusing, it's a shame you can't
get them anymore.
We used to get a piece of paper, draw a head, then
fold the paper over, then pass it to the next person,
who would then draw their body onto your head, and so
on, then fold it again, then draw the legs. You would
laugh at some of the figures that used to come out of
this game.
Jenny.
