OH GOODY, WHERE ARE THE CAMERAS

The ugly duckling that grew up to be well an ugly duck, Jade Goody the renowned racist, bully and chav is terminally ill.
Ms Goody the famous? What? What exactly is she famous for? Oh yes famous for being a celebrity, what an epitaph.
You might think that this is not a very respectful and frankly unsympathetic way to talk of someone who is dying.
But I do have sympathy for her I would never wish anyone ill let alone terminally ill, even someone I have an intense dislike for or someone so totally undeserving of respect.
Nor would I ever inflict Cancer on even my worst enemy, having witnessed its inhuman destructive power at first hand when we lost my Dad, but shit happens.
If you cut the cards and turn over the ace of spades then so be it, you must play the cards you are dealt, but you choose the way you play the hand out.
It appears to me that Jade is dealing with her death with the same level of indignity that she has displayed throughout the rest of her life.
Possibly for her it is another illness, an addiction and she is just a media junkie and I think her addiction for the limelight will keep her in the public eye until the very moment she draws her final breath.
Maybe its because I am of a different generation that I find the manner of her demise so distasteful, This is not how I would want to go, I would not choose to live out my last days in the glare of the media spotlight.
But it isn’t my life or death it is hers and we will all have to put up with it until the end, or perhaps after the end as well.
Maybe even from beyond the grave Jade will continue to feed her addiction by appearing before a surprised Yvette Fielding on an addition of “Most Haunted” and wrestling Ms Fielding for the spotlight.
But regardless of who or what Jade may be or has been my sympathies lie with her children, who mercifully have not been paraded before us, for whatever else she may have been Jade is their mother and they will miss her terribly and they will only have the ASBO stepfather left in her place and being a cynic I have to ask the question, will he stick around once he has Jades money?
