WETLANDS

from the ABC set THE NATURAL WORLD - FLORA AND FAUNA

Each year migrating pairs
Return to the wetlands to breed
To join the resident inhabitants
Who have never felt the need
Frantically honking Geese
Ducks and Swans of assorted breeds
Nesting Wildfowl of every kind
Using the seclusion of the reeds
And in the rich wetlands
The multitude can readily feed

Hi Paul this is a beautiful poem and reminded me
of when I went to Slimbridge just over a month ago.

It's such a beautiful place and the ducks and swans
impressed me so much. You should have seen the baby
ducks with their mother, it really made me want to
go Ahhh! so loving.

Thankyou for reminding me of this day, with your
beautiful poem.

Jenny.
