What a thoroughly unwholesome situation we found ourselves in, we purveyors of democracy, we who rain down bombs of democracy upon the lands of the less enlightened.
We found Gordon Browns defeated party clinging onto power by its very finger tips while Clegg whored his party out to the highest bidder to his discredit and to the disgust of his supporters.
This whole mess created by the most undemocratic instrument namely the tactical vote.
I pray now that Cameron has taken the reins he will be permitted to take the actions needed to drive us out of this mire we find ourselves in. I further pray we never go down the road of proportional representation because what we are experiencing at the moment is but a pale reflection of what PR will land us with after every election.
