Attack

from the ABC set Life's Funny Little Foibles

~~

Bile in my belly
bells in my head
my whole world is spinning
at least I’m not dead!

All is confusion
my mind turns black
as I bounce on the floor
and land on my back.

The clouds are moving
around at a pace
my specs have flown
right off of my face.

My brain is a riot
with a buzzing mosquito
I become quite convinced
that this is finito!

I rise, when I’m able
as far as I can tell
I’m teetering close
to the brink of hell.

The gates are wide open
demons are shrieking
somewhere about me
blood is leaking.

I see old Nick
he’s there leering at me…
“you shan’t get me today
bugger off, let me be”

At last I’m abed
my body is shaking
weak and nauseous
soon sleep’s overtaking.

My last conscious thought
I’m here for the duration
this bloody disease
my lifes' irritation.

I like the poem and the rhyme but it sounds like an awful condition. Well done for keeping your sense of humour

Oh dear, Val. I do hope it hasn't reared its ugly head again. But still ... with a sense of humour like yours, it will never win.

Enjoyed!!!
