I suspect you lurk in corners or
somewhere on the periphery
ready for the opportunity
to make your presence felt.

You appear at the most
inconvenient moments
calculated to catch me unawares.

Occasionally I imagine
you take great delight
to see me embarrassed,
because whenever you pop
into my mind I feel a blush
rise up from my toes.

You see, a thought of you
is never simple, it always comes
with a large side order of erotica

and I am terrified people
can see me tremble at the effect,
for I am convinced they know the cause.
