The Fib poem is a short poetry 6-line poetry form that is based on the structure of the Fibonacci sequence. If you're not familiar with the Fibonacci Sequence, it is a mathematical sequence in which every figure is the sum of the two preceding it. Thus, you begin with 1 and the sequence follows as such: 1+1=2; then in turn 1+2=3; then 2+3=5; then 3+5=8 and so on. The poetry sequence therefore consists of six lines of 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, and 8, with each number representing that number of syllables. Here are four pieces that I've managed to come up with.
Life,
style,
missing.
Gone astray
each lost in transit.
Desirous to find new lifestyle.
Weak
heart
failing,
fading fast
yet, firmly faithful;
so lovingly unfaltering.
Fib,
lie
deceive
as you will.
Falsehoods shrivel up
when tasted by a truthful tongue.
Search
seek
pursue,
chase shadows.
Solace elusive
enslaving souls in solitude.

I totally agree. I'd never heard of this before. Excellent:)

I've only ever done two of these, they are harder than they look. So I think you've done well here.
This one will probably appeal more to 3Leaf than my other effort.

Hi Val. Learnt the series at school but didn't know of the poem form until I saw this ;-)
How about these?
truth
like
many
things comes in
different wrappers
depending on your preference
how
much
money
is given
to bad charities
by unthinking caring people?
now
if
only
I could walk
backwards into a
sea of boundless beauty and love
and one to run alongside Ewan's ;-) :
ran
like
clappers
in Snickers
sponsored wrappers with
lots of army chappers today

Hi Val. Thanks - and sorry for being so impolite. In my rush to play along and share mine I forgot to mention yours. My favourite is this one :
Fib,
lie
deceive
as you will.
Falsehoods shrivel up
when tasted by a truthful tongue.
and thanks again for opening my eyes to this form. :-)
