Anyone who knows me from MySpace will know of my battle with Orange for the last 8 months. Briefly, I was assured at the point of sale that the 3Gb allowance I got from my dongle would be more than enuf to run a MySpace account, no problem. £20 per mth. Fine. Within 3 mths I had a bill for £655 +!
I've been fighting this ever since. When I told Orange they would have to sue me they passed me to a debt collector - completely illegal. I told the company, DLC, that Orange had acted illegally in passing my account to them. After an exchange of emails and, I suspect, a consultation with their solicitor they sent an email to the effect that they 'could no longer help with [my] dispute' and had passed my case back to Orange. Round 3 to me I think.
I want Orange to take me to court so I can counterclaim for damages.

It's nowhere near as much fun, but you can usually get something done if you contact the directors of a company. They hate being forced to know things they'd prefer to claim ignorance of. You'll never get them on the phone, your calls will all be transferred to the bunny mill, but you can always write. It often works.
The law won't be anywhere near as much fun as you imagine. Would you be willing to infect yourself with a horrible disease in the hope that you could pass it on to Mr. Orange? That's how you should think of the law.

Chancery, that's the answer. Or you could try the Office of Circumlocution.

I've been to court charged with threatening to kill a Crown Court witness. It carries a mandatory sentence of 18mths. At least it did, until I set a precedent by getting 2yrs prison - heart attack - suspended for 1yr. Huge sigh of relief.
Small claims court doesnt bother me, FTSE.
Ewan - love it.
