Hangover blues

from the ABC set Random

Rough night last night?
Can’t remember who you are
Where you were
What you drank
Who you slapped
Or who you woke
Up next to?

Another night out?
Another day in?
The bed too soft or
Is the ground too hard
Are the birds too loud
Or the radio to quiet?

Who’s that next to you?
Greasy hair and
Dirty nails?
No Cinderella
But she chose you.
Or you chose her
Whoever it is
She ain’t for you.

Come on lad,
Get out of bed
It’s the morning after
Not the night before.
You may feel like shit but
You still have to work.
You’ve got a long day ahead,
What tie to wear
What shoes to polish
But please sir tell me
Who are you?

Great poem - and oh dear. Haven't we all been here?

Enjoyed.

I like this very much. Yes we have all been there... or still are... quite frankly... ;-p

Well done, a very enjoyable read.

Nathan.

Thanks for your comments :)

And I would be but the school doesn't take too kindly to having hung over kids attempting to learn sadly.
