I am.

I am the girl I am because of everyone I've known
Each life has left its imprint on me
Spirit, flesh and bone

Each heartbeat joins the rhythm of the band to which I walk
Each voice adds words to things on which I ponder, dwell and talk

I am a better person just for knowing some of you
And those who have left wounds on me well they're part of me too

The good
The bad
The ugly have all walked my path with me
And each has left it's mark upon the person that you see

And though I have regrets and memories that I'd rather lose
The me I am is someone that I think I would still choose

I am broken
I am crazy
I am often so afraid
And sometimes I just can't move on from mistakes that I have made

So though I bitch and moan about the troubles that I face
I'm me
And that's something I could not easily replace.
