It Gets Better

Though they may hurt you and call you a fag
Then back to their friends they may go just to brag
Know now that you’re better than they’ll ever be
They’re cowards and hide behind cold cruelty

Right now it may seem like there’s no where to turn
And within you the struggle will wrestle and churn
But you are not alone, there are many who care
And with them all your worries and fears you can share

Those bigots who fear, with their ignorant ways
Will always miss out on life’s colourful rays
Those who glitter and gleam and are true to their hearts
Will outshine all those dark clouds who hate from the start

So do not despair, there is such joy ahead
You are beautiful, brave and should live life instead
Of giving it all to those cowardly souls
Who will never be free and will never be whole.
