A single tear
From heaven falls
A million follow
Cleanse the earth with endless tiny kisses
The world greys
Clouds mumble
Whispers grow to angry yells
Wash away the detritus of yesterday
Light the skies
Call forth the promise of a new tomorrow
Darkness
Noise
Blinding flashes and weeping empyrean
Creatures hide and children tremble
But after
As rumbles fade
Light
Colour
The world born anew
Clean
Glistening
All that was
Washed away
All that is yet to be
Free to bloom
Born from the storm

Some lovely imagery here, cassiopeia.
(Just a wee typo,in the third line of the fifth stanza. Should be 'flashes', I think.
Really liked this stanza:-
"The world greys
Clouds mumble
Whispers grow to angry yells"
Enjoyed.
