Cat Walk

slow cat feet
walking through the shimmering heat,
far above the sea.
Cheetah walks like a ballet dancer,
face like Vivien Leigh.

till sight and sound and smell

and the sun burning down

and the rising dust

show the stillness of the gazelle.
