"Emily" Happy 9th Birthday

The children are all sitting at their tables
having a great time
as ther'e all playing with party bears umm!

"Lucie the pink and grey kitten
climbing up the chair
Relik the chocolate bear
with his chelsea cap
and fringe of ginger hair"

"Clifford 4 legged dog in pyjamas
begins to yawn!
" Fluffy in her pink and white
pyjamas is a naughty little bear
and blown ice-cream soda everywhere"

"Lucy is a black and gold disco bear dog
keeps dancing on the table
showing her glitter boots off

"Underdog and "Underpup huskies
are father and son
showing off his red football father
has won
the baby underpup husky has his little
fur boots on
But they would rather be on their
snowsledge having fun!

"Hello Kitty " is a big white cat
with blue eyes and a golden side bow
she is saying
"Now all you bears please
be good no throwing ice-cream
and tickerling my toes
you know it makes me laugh
and over the tea goes"

"Come here "Bumfrey in your
lovely pink dress
it's nearly time for all of us
to go home wash and change
and get ready for bed"

But they cried!
out and the "Under dog did a woof! woof!
please let us stay because it's
Emily's birthday party and
we all want to stay up
we promise to to be good.

You really have captured the essence of a children's birthday party in this wonderful poem, Julie. I especially like this verse:-

"Lucie the pink and grey kitten
climbing up the chair
Relik the chocolate bear
with his chelsea cap
and fringe of ginger hair"

It sounds as if a good time was had by all.

On a different subject, I do hope your virus is all cleared up now. Nasty things...viruses.

Keep writing, Julie and most of all, keep smiling.
