Frank is his name
when I walk in that room
his eyes light up
always so kind to all

and once black wavy hair
if ever we went on the pier

He would sing just like

Those blue electric eyes
and in his youth
looked like

When he sang lay back style melodies
the girl's would scream and swoon
as he stood up and crooned

Young and old would be beside him
would never be

Frank was in our groups
anything we tried to do
always get me to join him
so I could learn to

He could play the violin,
harmonica,banjo
and do poetry
now I'm singing the blues
the blues

But now in the nursing home
sad to say
trying to sing away the blues

I arrive not knowing what the fuss is
let alone the buses
packed that's a fact

He is hot, he is cold
put this in the wardrobe
no at the top
but I am only 5ft 4"

No wonder I have grey hair
put his socks into a pair

Move the wheelchair to his table
he forgets the brakes on
am I able no wonder hard to move

Put the yogurt in the kitchen
no I can't I am not admitted
I'm singing the blues away

Can I open the window just ajar
No!No!
close it that's to far

Shop for this and that
I can't always
get the right box or size
or the price
now I'm singing the blues

I like to be there for him
but do get home exhausted
so I start singing the blues

If he needs the loo
I quickly put gel on my hands
leave him to the staff

My chance to quickly sign out
as they take over
not knowing how long he will be
so I am feeling
blue blue blue

I cannot sit there and wait
so disappear too
singing the blues
the blues.

I guess I'd be the same
if in a wheelchair nothing to do
so I would be singing the blues

I would get home
the phone would go
either for Ray or me
to bring him something else
or to may say

There is a name of another shop
that is cheaper
I could scream!

so I start singing the blues
the blues away.

All he wants is to get
out of that damn
wheelchair one day.

with me.

few problems hear.As most have some more than others.Some are worse of.
