My Late Birthday Surprise Absolutely true and entered comp; 1st time?julie Updated

When I was young I saw a lovely Red Dress in a shop.
I saved my wages went back but it was gone!

Ive always loved regency styles, the bustles to,victorian times and buckled shoes.

Many thanks to my Priest Fthr Alan Sharpe who taught me to read? the Bible in all adversities
phoned in all circumstances and took my Mums funeral.

My belated Mum always wore red from head to toe,
I loved and looked after her so! much,
but now red is the fashionable look!

When the post came I was so excited,
I undone the parcel thinking it was a nightie.

Im sitting here on the "Park Bench" in this amazing dress
our wonderful daughter and Son in law bought me.

It is a crinoline design
sweeps up into a bow behind
the beads on the bodice glitter
in the Sun

A perfect fit nips into the waist
The wonderful couple who chose it have a great taste.

Ive always wanted a"Red Dress,"
Although it has no sleeves but a stole shimmering
to match
all I need is
a Pork Pie Hat?

Im well past 21
I use a Parasol and have fun.

Thank you to Dominque, who was our writing group co-ordinator at 1st Base
to Sean now our new project worker,
putting also
poems, stories, and drawings, and
of all others to
and my
1st one recently in
"The Big Issue"
wow pass me the tissues!

The Staff with a smile friendship cups of tea and help.
A bowl of soup and food
homeless to keep
the cold out.

As a shy sensitive person!
I emailed The Argus as I see
"Poets Corner" over the weeks put one in
my goodness they put in four me
over time
I was surprised!
and now on ABCTALES

I cannot afford to have
any more published as Im
a pensioner you see
having paid to publish three.
so Ive put them into £1 file
but who knows?
where to read!

works please thanks be

I loved your dress julie, I think you are a
shining example of someone who really cares
about others and I'm sure you have a guardian
Angel watching over you, bringing you to where
you are now. It's only through our love and
respect for others, that we truely learn to
what life is all about.

I have always been a great believer in
unconditional love, meaning it's not what
others do for us, but what we can do for
them and if we recieve back, that is an
extra special gift.

Lovely read and I love your description of
the regency dress, which is stunning.

Thanks for the reply julie, yes my partner does
read my poems, but not my stories, they are too
long, his concentration span is not that good and
he get's bored easily, he's more of a crossword
person, than a book reader, or story reader.

Let the Angels watch over you as well.

one by button,did read,remarks bits.
Then I can re-read or he will do a copy,
anything or for my friends a song whatever.
Not like a typewriter. Have to think more!
can sit and alter as think maybe?
Ray takes his paper in toilet!
sits doing crossword, think get out way1
As papers mention most do.
Well snooker is boring to me, I wouldn't
go and watch him, but he wins matches they
all play together,as Captain always taking,
t/calls who is coming and can't or play!
I had a sister did 'Keats' not a poetry person
like that, just me?
Well someone has watched over me definitely!

But god was the main goal, and said "Angels' were

new skinner_jennifer (Letter)
I mustn't repeat myself hope!
How kind of you to read it.
Well I dore that time! of fashion.
But had a present from daughter and hubby!
Then parcel post, who what? was it the Q.
I squealed what! I always wanted.
As from my late mum's adopted aunt, bit of news!
"Best Royal Pavilion In The World". etc;
When after many years, could get out,I went
into town, with our litle 'Jack Russel'
a gorgeous sunny day, looked in 2nd hand window,
there was this beautiful picture, I had always
heard and seen from my mum in 'sepia' found out
only £12. At the time got bus home, dashed in told Ray
gave me money! I went back shop and onto my mum's flat and man then! showed mum her, got a monocle she is holding too! Course their all dead.
Used in programmes' films know one knew who was!
My mum couldn't believe I found her local, and later postcard in another shop, we looked everywhere in postcards on holiday! Nothing! background of a beauty
kissed on the hand by 'Prince Regent'was etc. shown in 'Yes,Priminister'. 'Beau Geste' "The Upstairs and Downstairs paperback their she was, loved to watch, Ray bought me! Tease me about it!
Hence a flair maybe, when mum 80 done her all six of us party, never had in her life! I wanted go as 'Miss Piggy' but fancy dress face,to smothering,so went for
wig, parasol and blue ice ball gown, I felt like madam
dressed as muck? Daughter hardly walk down the road, I was in my glory, pay down £100 or so, goes back within couple days, it was flared and elasticated,so
popped mum in,we took photos both of us,she looked a dream! But sister knew then, can remember all names and history correctly, because of names and story! involved? Ray used to say their she is on tv. I'd run in before videos, came out, then gone. We like to watch 'Flog it! and antique programme, one day there appeared postcard of a beauty? plus like a indian bracelet, she was 5th gt grandma, down got didn't know worth anything!!
My goodness it certainly was, very much like round picture I have achieved, now on my wall I have wearing one similiar. But like 'Smith' one has to get right initials to names. Then once made a rug of her, send away clear photo, they match up colours;in paper, only black and white,Ray set up clothes horse! laugh me work on while light! So big colours face overdone!
I gave the my sister, as no room size of it here.
Turns out tv letter I wrote to,it could be her, described, sent to London Ray and I hire shop out
for scenes, their she was. Mum's adopted a gt gt Aunt!
All those years I was only one too find throguh being alert with god? Many things found and done! Now. I didn't believe never would ask? one day did?
More unfortunately than hubby could ever do for me?
I can't remember history in terms who if nan,gt nan,
in-law of etc;baffling. I do find AbcTales stretches the mind. Look at colours, I talk of,and images try!
My words used to come out back to front! Couldn't get anyone to understand my writing! Or speak,so before church and many many things, couldn't do!
I would scribble, down send it off, special where they say read and it's burnt in the flames!! Who could I go to and trust get help! no one then?
I used buy toys, and make some indoors before going local church near then, for church 12 years later, buy dolls, hence poem how described clothes.
Wash their hair,and all clothes!
There never was any hope! or cure! so have be careful what I put on here of me, if get my meaning.
But I have put a lot on! now. Now dry those tears!
I know they get us no where!
And since dad then mum d 10 years after, done so much!
I feel I should grow up, bought so many lovely things
cheap, fans, parasol, and gifts, masks love all. Cheap
fasciliator gorgeous clips hair £6. Had rock n roll
skirt made, and sewed music cheap sparkle notes,on hence daughter did first, and me rest. On a cheap trouser and waistcoat, carrying sheet music copy, Ray said "look you are 'The Sound Of Music' look a like 'Sound of music" nervous wreck going up those steps again! since 1995 man up top I chat! about mum and I was shaking! no Ray,Nuns been up dressed up etc; won small biscuits, and puppetts won! but I went back on stage last minute, comedian asked anyone go up! Then speak hrough mic, each applauded, and given 'The Sound Of Music". book Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber in, and whole of 'Vonne Trappe Family'too heavy carry, and new manager signed kindly by letter, as phoned, not signed memory of mum and I extras' she got me go along with her, no pay, went onto London after. Not us. Hope beautiful ball room scene,no 'Queen Victoria's' funeral all black! ugh!
Noel Cowards play Cavalcader. But now mainly go to show, day time now, on my own, or Ray meet me by bus. Hope not bored you! Also 2nd hand victorian or regency lady photos obtained from shop b/ton. Friend helped turn huge book pages, and there she was again. The mind is so alert, after having so much done! and to body?
That's enough said. It's now the one put in the magazine 23.
So shall I change the photo back! to fit description of dress.
Anway it was your great story think about indians,
fo yours that inspired me try the T shirt found and bought made me try mine! from a black t.shirt with all on!
Lovely indian headdress, and Coyote's and the moon,
I found lady selling all kinds. Thanks.
I was so amazed and a cherry!
I'm closing for now,take care!
Does your partner read your good work?
Mine I realise now could have helped me so my for years in many things, awful, or stand up for me,now
I realise some have that special care! and some walk!! away from it all. Yes, I was brought up form six to do all for them in so many ways! It was the done thing then! Parent's,Aunts,Nans,Grandads all involved
whatever!
Mum always said 'One door closes, another one opens for me'. Re needing something girl friend or her mum come up with it. Or I would buy say lipstick whatever before birthday then. Not knowing get one!
Or girl's mother give her daughter's dree to me.
Thanks julie xx Let the angel's watch over you!
I too am a bit of a 'Mystic' Rose like you.
Have a good day. Enjoy chat! Read 'Biggus" naughty words, 'The Sound Of Music' goes! to his words of Erotica. It was only baby in mum's family grew up with swear words, mum and dad never. Until my mum left, then pop drank more, come in swearing! up the stairs.
julie take care xx
