"Song Of Songs " 1st Reading from Bible.= (2.10-13;8.6-7,)

My beloved speaks and says to me:
'Arise,my love,my fair one,
and come away;for now the winter is past.
the rain is over and gone.

The flowers appear on the earth;
the time of singing has come,
and the voice of the turtle-dove
is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth its figs,
and the vines are in blossom;
they give forth fragrance.

Arise,my love,my fair one,
and come away.
Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;
for love is strong as death,
passion fierce as the grave.
Its flashes of fire, a raging flame.

Many waters cannot quench love,
neither can floods drown it.
If one offered for love
all the wealth of one's house,
it would be utterly scorned

must say it is not mine!
It was read out at the
beautiful wedding we went to
going on honeymoon away recently
Bride and groom

this is really lovely and comforting
from the bible! Fthr Tim Tregunno
to Frances,we went wonderful day,
great weather, everything.
and 400 blessed and priests+ Fthr Alan
and Fthr Keith+ etc:and children.

Love this Julie, very passionate stuff.

Arise,my love,my fair one,
and come away.
Set me as a seal upon your heart,
as a seal upon your arm;
for love is strong as death,
passion fierce as the grave.
Its flashes of fire, a raging flame.

I love the way you've written that verse.

Thankyou lovely comment.
As I mentioned it was like Wedding
Of Cana".Fantastic,and verse,from
The Bible read, "Song of Songs" beautiful.
I like yours very much,
She tells the wind of the dance,and she invites
him,because the earth is wide and the wedding large.
Says invite others who are less fortunate etc;
Not been Church over 6 months.Spiritually makes a lot of difference to me.
julie

Tom Brown | June 27, 2010 - 12:10

I myself avoid churches I don't call myself a Christian "I'm a believer". "Those less fortunate" yes I think that sums it up &&!

Thanks comment
I perfectly agree with you.
But without it,I wouldn't be
able to have done this or many things.
I haven't been over 6 months.I truly believe
particularly experiences in life,sometimes can
help others,plus helping and listening to all.
Thankyou
julie

Nolan | June 30, 2010 - 14:51

Agreed Julie! All sounds very modest but actually terribly arrogant. Not so easy to see. Typical.

Nolan | July 1, 2010 - 14:37

Sorry Julie it's a misunderstanding. My fault. I agree with you regarding church and so on. The rest is family business.

Nolan | July 1, 2010 - 14:43

Nolan | July 18, 2010 - 09:14

Julie do you know the story in the Bible where the king almost had a baby chopped in half because two women were fighting for it? Whose baby was it?

Cavalcaderl | July 18, 2010 - 12:59

Nolan
No not quite sure not read
for over 6 months probably
one of the Kings could be
Herod,Samuel David.Get back later
to you,someone may know on here
One did kill all the baby boys.Not
sure if can put this on here or not?
Very warm out,going to be 98 farenheit
Tuesday.
take care.
julie

Nolan | July 18, 2010 - 13:16

Solomon. It was Solomon's baby.

Cavalcaderl | July 21, 2010 - 14:38

Nolan
Thankyou just found it in Kings 1
Solomon.You are absolutely right.
The story 2 women both had a baby within 3 days
lived together,one got up to feed hers got wrong baby,argued King said bring sword over which born dead and alive and cut live one in half,and gave one half to one woemn and one to the other
each.awful,Prostitutes.Interesting.But I was thinking
King Herod as he got rid of all the boys,accept Moses
I think,put him in basket,and down reeds of a river.ok.
Well done.julie
