On Such A Beautiful Day

When things go wrong
Look up to the clear blue sky
a star twinkling extra bright
you may see one for you

When things go wrong
walk on Walk on
when your alone
throw away the mobile

Don't answer the phone
smile at the people
wherever you roam
and those that have no homes

Go along the beach
paddle your feet
in the exciting foam
think of those in nursing homes

Would love someone to walk them
or just to talk and sing
maybe shake the tambourine
remember their golden dreams

Take them to the loo
always hold their arms
it can work if you
use your charms

Visit the shops
tell them "you choose"
even a pair
of blue suede shoes'

So if your alone all's gone wrong
just pass the time of day
paint your nails the colours
of the rainbows one by one

Trip to the park
watch the flower's
wafting in the breeze
grey squirrels running

Down the trees
when everything goes wrong
I'm like dying petal's
that flounder to the ground

Everyone needs friend's around
watch the children blowing bubbles
not a care in the world
call them for tea

Time is nothing to them
take them to listen
and watch music bands
when there let out

Their push chairs
will dance and jog around
don't stand and chat!
look! up your child

Is running away
run fast their having
a freedom day
why! do we put them

On a round a bout
or bungy jumps high
are they trying to
reach the sky

Don't we know
they can be sick
their only toddlers
learning new tricks

Show them the goldfish
in a murky pond
coming up to the surface
for oxygen

When you haven't
got the love
on that day by your side
smile! smile! smile!

This is a rotten poem
I know
but it's just feelings
of when all has gone wrong

all comments please,not right!yet.

Julie, this one made me smile, all the way through, and then, laugh out loud at the very end.

The one thing I can say is, it is very right, and beautiful too;-)

A very charitable poem in the rough Julie - typos and all. Of the children, I take it you meant "teach them to listen" ...?

A lot going on in this and worth working through to the finishing line.

Lots of Love

feelings, so you keep writing and enjoy.

Hope your Sunday is a Sunny, Peaceful one.

Hi! Thanks lovley commnets.
Yes, it is a rough! poem like
you say three day's of happenings
and all gone wrong! Hence the poem
included most. I could alter it like
you say kindly, but it was happening
there and then so left take them! what
do you say. Before some baby, mum held it's hands
bouncing on her lap to music another part of street!
Hope not getting sun burnt.
It was five minute poem,trying
get four stanzas in line, had drop
to beginning for next stanza if followed
on. See Mum's were there then? So taken them
and out push chair put onto the ground etc;
Have a good week-end.

I remember The little Drummerboy by Gunther Grass- weird story- horses heads used as bait for eels by the seaside. They love carcasses those eels- I don't care to eat eels too often...

Oh! yes so do I.
Rumpa Pump Pum was it.
Think maybe the same one.
I only mentioned the other
title song,as think you wrote
title about music, didn't you?
And maybe libved in Holland forgotten.
Went on Tick tock, tick tock went the
funny old clock, and the wheels went round
and round? Didn't want say wrong country!
Write about it. I remember the brother's then young,
then used to go fishing, brought back live eels,
wriggling in a bag! made me feel squiffy!
Thanks coming back and commenting.
a girl and I in an office, much younger than me,
we planned go to Holland fly 1st time, to-gether
both did two jobs, coffe bars, saved went put deposit down next week, too late booked up, for The Bulb field's so never went.
have a good day. Watching x factor shame they all cry,
going home, then not, lot to take on young ones.

Everyone is out shopping,or wining and dining.
Mine hates shopping me!
