Summer is the time to leave
everything
Get up and go for a walk
Meet people and talk
Look at the birds swooping
And diving for dinner
Or a parrot saying "Hello,
Sing a song of sixpence"
With his feathers of
Red white and blue plumage
The sky with bright sun
Peeping through the trees
As light blazes through
The windows
Flowers of every colour
Red roses shades and
Petals falling
Someone in a park snoring
The rays of the sun
Are a tonic
But not too much!
