A vegetable shop
all on display
cucumbers and
lettuces
Melons green
and yellow striped
Oranges for vitamins C
tomato's rosey red
and edible fruit
People sitting
at the outside tables
With a coffee latt'ee
as the machine is gurgling on
Pigeons were trying to
peck my feet
Young girls
with roses in their hair
Some had short short skirts
above their knees
Chatting
laughing
in the breeze
So back inside away
from the sun
Eating glorious slice
of my cream and jam
victoria sponge
I jump up and leave
my scrambled eggs on toast
I can see notice opposite
Fresh fruit daily
to ask the vegetable owner
name of the boxes flowers
"Pink Geraniums he says"
as putting away for the night
the shutters
were coming down tight
Still people passing by
a little old lady
with high heels on
Red hat and dress
just like my mum
would wear
A friend I hoped to find
was in the doorway
of charity shop by chance
I creep in after giving
her a quick glance
The men had cream
boater hats on
drinking outside
the pub
Dark sun-glasses
to hide from the sun
Shorts
had Knicker-Bocker-
Glories on
I quickly showed her copies
of photos we had done
The day at
The Marina having fun
We had her beside Elvis
photoed in the back ground
and was very pleased to have
Of Rock n' roll team
I had to have a go
with someone I knew
but really to fast
Impersonators fab:
"Elvis"
Blue suede shoes
Another professional
singing Dean-Martin
and Frank Sinatra songs
High kicks
another photo
with him in
off came my sun hat!
and I was gone
My heart went fast as
Dean-Ager went over
to a lady I knew
and put her sun-hat
on his head
But I did speak to him
later on
said we could dance and sway
to the music
and his high kicks
that day
and I did
I was gone

Poodles for girls

So I gave them onto
a friend I met by chance
As I make my way back
up past all the shops
I see!
The sailor look
is coming back
Black and white
striped jumpers
blue bowed shoes
Reminds me of
The Sailor's
Horn Pipe dance'
I love that to do
Another one
walked like a model
In her colourful
maxi dress
sun-burnt
as it was strapless
A baby with ice-cream
the dog close by
wanted a lick of it
as the baby
screamed and cried
Now I am on the bus
that is jogging along
there is a lady
that caught my eye
as it is a bit tight
With a black
T shirt on

Donald Duck
Mickey Mouse
each side
The best photo you see
Is the one of our daughter's wedding
On honeymoon to Disney Land
Brought a souvenir castle back
a photo behind cellophane
we took it of
There's a little stage
and slipped in the middle
our *loving couple inside
Donald Duck
and Mickey Mouse
a little boy
who is looking out the window
with his
T Shirt marked
"Come on Come on"
He gives me such a smile
as I get off
the bus I give him
a little wave
bye! bye!
