Here, am I?

from the ABC set For You

Crunching sounds as I step outside her door and the frozen air against my skin. I looked back through her window to see her rested against a few pillows reading under candle light.
The snow covered the neighbourhood, creating a togetherness by hiding the roadways and fences. It felt peaceful and the most beautiful girl i've ever known was home and would be there to welcome me on my return.
As it always seems to be, the magical moment would pass as it can never last forever. But the moment can be retained in thoughts, only individual to ones perception.
So as I reached the top of the hill I looked back at the little wooden house and saw the skies open their arms and eternity gather around my thoughts. She was beside me, holding my arm, telling me it's cold, it's time to go home.

I like the question and I thought you made it clear that you were different places in your thoughts. Love the line ". . and eternity gather around my thoughts. . ." very good.
