She

from the ABC set FlyingKites

Imagine red candle-lit lanterns hanging from trees in the deepest hours of the night,
Imagine 100 paper cranes hanging from your mango tree in your backyard.
Imagine a girl flying a kite with her granddad and seeing her again next to a grave.
Imagine a bird sitting on a tree singing till the break of dawn and the end of the
dark.
she can;
her, that girl.yes thats her right there.
she cant tell the difference between
reality and imagination.
Living in a world full of angry people,
she stays the same - unchanging;
She has a dream and shes living her life like one.
Everybody sees her but none know her name.
Her smile spells joy but her eyes scream sorrow.
She makes a fool of clowns.
Turns a river of thorns into a bed of roses.

"this was written by me for the girl i saw today ; some how she was trapped in a world full of hateful people and couldnt get out. fold your own paper crane; then make it fly."

Enchanting - this. And a great line this one:-

"Her smile spells joy but her eyes scream sorrow ..."

Strange, isn't it? Sometimes we catch only a fleeting glimpse of somebody - a perfect stranger and they have such a lasting impact on us that we never forget that our paths crossed - however briefly.

I'm off now to make a paper crane, although Origami, not really my speciality;-)
