ETERNAL ROSE
When you’re not here and I am alone,
With thoughts of joys I might not have known.
One thought of you is all I need,
To know that love has but one seed.
Though often cast a seed is rare,
To find a heart, and settle there.
But in my heart that seed has found,
A love for you, that knows no bounds.
You gave to me such joy in life,
The day you said you would be my wife.
And happiness I never knew,
That could come from loving one as you.
The years ahead though still unclear,
For you and I should hold no fear.
And time itself alone will show,
How a love like ours can only grow.
When time has past and I am old,
And you are there for me to hold.
My life may end, my eyes may close,
But my love will go on, for you, my eternal rose.
