Ode to Tomorrow [Revised]

Today has a funny taste
and it smells queer, too
and I keep having to
move the aerial and
twiddle with the knobs.
I think today must have
his flies down because
yesterday and tomorrow
keep falling on my head
and it’s really
terribly inconvenient.
I'm taking today
back to the shop
and if I can't have
a refund, then I'll
swap it for tomorrow.

Beautiful. Worthy of poem of the week and more. Very clever and succinct...I think maybe yesterday could be growing hair stuck to the back of the fridge, while tomorrow might not actually be worth swapping anythng for, even if today is one of those xmas toys manufactured from suspect reclaimed plastic in deepest Guangzhou which fails the safety regs on all counts. You also invoke static, which is always a good thing...I've never got over the movie Poltergeist myself! Anyway, enough ramblings. Great poetry well done!!!!!!!!

A great short poem, something hard to do and still come across as witty. Good writing. RLP

Whimsical, lovely but with an edge.

Funny, affecting and clever - I haven't enjoyed a poem so much for ages. I'll read more of your work - keep it coming.
