A fruity rum punch for the sardine salt,
and a smile in the chiringuito:
just hold my hand like you understand
the sea should not look smoother.
The sands run out from between our toes,
'til the waves return to wash them.
Let's steal a fishing boat off the beach
and sail for the Dry Tortugas.

Is it raining, again?
threeleafshamrock | September 8, 2009 - 11:32
The rain isn't bad in itself, it's more the storm force winds, that are screwing my broadband, TV, radio and phone reception, made my wife's rotary line take off like a fucking helicoptor (someone is about to inherit a very nice Ben Sherman).
Great day for a spitting contest, mind you.

threeleafshamrock | September 8, 2009 - 11:40
ha...def a day for getting your own back, if you weren't careful ;)

Using mobile broadband at the moment, which is about as much use as a hand-brake on a canoe!

what is the other thing on the fire? Not the fish

And them Caribbean winds still blow from Nassau to Mexico
Fanning the flames in the furnace of desire
And them distant ships of liberty on them iron waves so bold and free,
Bringing everything that's near to me nearer to the fire.
I think the chords might fit....:)

Dylan. I don't know that one. Must be 80's. I haven't bought a Dylan LP since Blood on the Tracks... I don't see how you can beat perfection, anyway.
'We're idiots, babe,
it's a wonder we can even feed ourselves'

It's on Yonder Comes Sin & Biograph. Best song he'd written for a long time. A fluke most likely.

A Chiringuito is just a beach bar, but it should always sell sardines cooked like this in an old fishing boat.

Corfu is a place that I'd love to see.
The life of a sardine as Charlie Chaplin would say .
Genius work.
Respectfully yours
