from the ABC set The Long and the Short of It...

Mirror writing on the wall,
what's the point of reading at all?
Feeble verses on the page
where's the wisdom that comes with age?

I'm found wanting? Wanting what?
Wanting whatever it hasn't got:
wanting fibre, wanting wit;
what's the point of writing this shit?

Reader, reading even now,
I'm proud of you, but wonder how
feeble verses, feeble rhyme
encouraged you to waste your time.

We're all in the process of becoming so why expect fulfillment...how's that for useless wisdom?

If you didn't write you verse
What would fill your universe?
Your love of words is plain to see
Your poet's eye seems clear to me
You're clever, witty and very bright
just not sure which fuse to light
yet fireworks aren't the only fun
more subtle lighting must be done ;O)
