The purple, pinkish paper foil
rustled, crinkled as the packet opened.
I would think of attar oil
and sand-dunes; Khayyam betokened
by tents and a sultry-looking sex-symbol.
At the hint of perfume under the chocolate
I would hear the crash of the cymbal
as I took the first, sensuous bite
- full of Eastern Promise -
of Fry's Turkish Delight.

I remember ants crawling all over the Turkish Delight but then it wasn't Fry's and there was no crinkly purple pinkish paper around it..
at least you got some associations that were a bit closer to home...

I got a live wasp in mine, trapped inside while it was still an egg. It's all the same to a pig.
