Gone, sent into the packet stream,
byte-sized portions of sweated prose.
Will the download tarnish any gleam
of originality? Heaven or the spellcheck knows.
Will it seem a ragged, orphan leaf
torn from a discarded paperback;
or a sharp vignette in bas-relief?
I just don't know, can I take it back?

we never know, leaves down the river... i like the last line, its got the anxiousness and vulnerability - sharp vignette's all have shaded edges right? good poem, enjoyed :)
