If I were the last man,
I'd avoid any hammock,
being poor
at testosterone tasks
- talents lying on the other
side of the brain.
So: evading the slinging
of a lazy fellow's bed,
I'd divert the arrows
by the power of words.
If only I could.
Cigars could mostly
wait, until the celebration
a propos
an Amazonian wife
at term, removes my lonely
label of last man.

I like the alliterative:
'testosterone tasks'
and the phrase is so evocative!

Love it. Ambitious and brave too to aim for an Amazon for a wife...Good luck with that.
Especially liked the bit about diverting arrows with the power of words. 'If only I could'...nice.

Oh, me too. What an excellent line.
You would really enjoy the graphic novel series 'Y: The Last Man'.

'Ambitious and brave too to aim for an Amazon for a wife...'
aim high, shoot low...
